Kuwait's Al-Qabas News Agency visits Piyavate Hospital, reinforcing Kuwaiti patients' confidence in Thai medical potential
On July 16, 2026, Piyavate Hospital welcomed a delegation from Kuwait's Al-Qabas News Agency, coordinated and facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, on the occasion of their visit to the hospital to study the potential and standards of medical services for patients from Kuwait and the Middle East region.
The delegation toured specialized medical centers and international patient facilities, and received information regarding foreign patient care systems, Arabic interpretation services, as well as guidelines for developing treatment experiences tailored to patients from the Middle East region.
Kuwaitis — the 2nd largest patient group from the Arab Gulf region
On this occasion, Dr. Jareang Chandrakamol, President of the Bangpakok-Piyavate Hospital Group, revealed that throughout 2025, Piyavate Hospital treated over 300 Kuwaiti patients. This makes Kuwaitis the second largest group of patients from the Arabian Gulf countries, following Oman, where the hospital has a representative office.
Dr. Jareang stated that Thailand has grown in popularity as a medical tourism destination for people from Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf region due to the expertise of doctors, diagnostic accuracy, treatment quality, and excellent service standards, while medical costs remain reasonable compared to the quality received.
Over 10 years of experience caring for Kuwaiti patients
Piyavate Hospital has over 10 years of experience in caring for Kuwaiti patients. In the past, a large number of patients received treatment through the Kuwait Ministry of Public Health's overseas medical treatment program, particularly patients with cancer, gangrene, and diabetic foot ulcers, where in many cases, limbs were successfully saved without the need for amputation.
Plan to expand cooperation in the Middle East region
In addition, the hospital plans to expand cooperation in the Middle East region through the establishment of representative offices in Arab countries and partnerships with private hospitals in Kuwait to increase access to Thailand's medical services and promote the exchange of medical knowledge between the two countries.

This visit by Al-Qabas News Agency marks another important step in promoting Piyavate Hospital's potential to the public in Kuwait, reflecting the confidence of Middle Eastern patients in Thailand's medical treatment standards, which continuously remain one of the region's major medical tourism destinations.
