Otoplasty Surgery

Protruding ears are an ear abnormality where the angle from the head is wider than normal, resulting in an unattractive ear shape. This abnormality can be corrected by making an incision behind the ear to reshape and suture the ear cartilage, or by surgical removal. However, the surgical techniques used may differ for the left and right ears due to potential differences between the two.

Preparing for the service

  • All vitamins and supplements should be discontinued for at least 2 weeks prior to surgery.
  • You can eat normally before the surgery because it involves local anesthesia.
Post-operative care
  • After surgery, wear the compression garment for 24 hours a day for one week, or as directed by your doctor.
  • After suture removal, it is recommended to wear a compression bandage for 12 hours, or as long as is convenient for the patient.
  • Avoid touching or scratching their ears.
